Privacy Policy

Effective October 26, 2026.

TARS Assistant ("TARS") is a personal project used only by its owner, Michael. It has no other users and no public sign-up.

Google data TARS accesses

• Google Calendar (read-only): event titles, times, and locations from the owner's own calendars.
• Gmail (read, and create drafts): the owner's own messages, and reply drafts saved in the owner's Drafts folder. TARS cannot and does not send email.

How the data is used

Only to organize the owner's own household: a daily agenda, bill reminders, and suggested email replies for the owner to review. Summaries are delivered privately to the owner through the Telegram messaging app. At the owner's request, an AI assistant (Claude, by Anthropic) may read an email or calendar item to summarize it or draft a reply.

Storage and sharing

Sign-in tokens and notes are stored on the owner's own computer. Google data is not sold, not shared with other people, and not used for advertising. It is not used to train AI models.

Limited Use

TARS's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Deleting access

The owner can revoke TARS's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, and can delete the stored tokens from his computer.
